DVCIT Scholarships

The Piscataway Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team is offering scholarships in the amount of $2,000 available to graduating high school seniors, who are residents of Piscataway, and who have been accepted into an institution of higher education. Applicants may be students at any public, private, parochial, or vocational high school.

The annual scholarship program “Against All Odds” is an award to recognize those students who have overcome unusual and extenuating circumstances, who, “against all odds” have remained in school and are determined to reach their goals in spite of these obstacles. The award is based on written essay. All essays will remain confidential.

A current high school transcript must be included.

The deadline for submission of essays will be announced.

The scholarships will be awarded to student recipients at their high school’s awards ceremony.

Our program is funded by proceeds generated through our cell phone recycling project, monies raised through our Comedy Night gift basket raffle, and the sale of Entertainment Books.

Applications and detailed guidelines regarding the scholarships may be obtained at the Piscataway High School guidance office or by contacting the domestic violence crisis team at 732-529-2517.
